As a team of sailing enthusiasts we’ve chartered countless numbers of sailboats and catamarans over the years, but in nearly every case we didn’t find the level of quality and customer service we would expect. The booking process was long, complicated and lacked transparency. That’s why in 2020 we decided to found HighSails and deliver on our mission of making sailing accessible to all while providing the best customer service, with unbeatable prices, all while making a positive difference. Sailing truly is the ultimate way to escape from life’s distractions and spend quality time with those closest to you, and we want to help you experience it. 

Today sailing holidays feel inaccessible to most for a number of reasons. When people think of a yacht charter, the image that often comes to mind is that of a mega yacht costing tens of thousands of dollars a week to rent. They may also feel that without the skills to sail, it’s something they simply won’t be able to do. We’re here to dispel this myth and bring quality sailing holidays to everyone; families, friends and loved ones.

While we know that getting the best deal is important to everybody, and that’s why we have over 9,000 boats to choose from, we believe that service should trump everything. That’s why we’ve worked tirelessly to deliver a yacht charter comparison that allows you to book a boat in just a matter of clicks. We want to eliminate the friction that we’ve found on so many other sites out there. We know however that some people might not be ready to book so quickly, and may have questions and want more information. That’s why we have spent countless hours creating guides that are free from jargon to help answer as many of your queries as possible. Not only are we looking to make the best possible yacht rental process, but we also want to give back in the process. That’s why we’ve partnered with The Ocean Clean Up to remove plastic from the ocean and make sure that we are not just another company that adds to the problem. As a team that have grown up by the sea, we have seen first hand the devastation that plastic and pollution have on marine wildlife, and that’s why we want to take every step to help restore the ocean to its former glory.
